Exercise

There are some promises that you cannot apprehend until you meet testing challenge head-on and stick it out. The Amplified Bible says it like this: “Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.” The crown of life sounds like a pretty decent reward for hanging in there, doesn’t it? But notice one other thing — it will take being “loyally in love with God” to stay the course through to the end. So spend time with God and allow your love to grow for Him as you exercise your faith. Then you can confidently expect to receive the reward.

WORDS OF LIFE:

• I lean into tests and challenges to exercise my faith.
• I trust that God will honor His promise to me, as one who loves Him.
• By faith I receive the patience and strength to meet my challenges head on without being shaken.

Word of the Day

Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life. (Message)
