Exercise

This is almost funny. Peter has enough faith to get out and walk on water. Then he must have decided that choppy water is harder to walk on than calm water so when the wind kicked up he panicked and started to sink. Walking on water is walking on water, calm or choppy, right? And yet, so often our faith fails too — right in the middle of an interview process, or an offer negotiation, or the start of a new assignment. Without realizing what we’re doing, we forget that God brought us to a place in order to bless us and that He will stay with us to get the job done. Exercise that faith of yours. Don’t step out of your boat, holding your breath and hoping for the best. Step out to join Jesus on the water and claim the best, the victory, in His mighty name!

• I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me; I will not lose faith.
• My confidence is in God to see me through. I am never on my own.
• What God begins He is faithful to complete. I will not believe that He brought me this far to leave me now.
